I choose immunization because I have seen the lifelong effects Polio has had on my grandmother, and she was one of the lucky ones who survived.
I choose immunization because I care about my family and all those we may encounter in our lives.
I choose immunization because I feel it is my responsibility to help protect those who cannot be immunized and even those who choose not to immunize.
Most of all, I choose immunization because I've planned a funeral because I nearly lost my youngest child, Zoey Mae, to haemophilus influenzae type b when she was only six months old. She was unable to receive her vaccinations on time due to chronic ear infections. Thanks to an incredible team of doctors at CHKD, she not only survived, but she has regained her hearing 100% and has suffered no long-term effects of the disease.
Vaccines save lives. I choose immunization because I value life.
