I immunize, first and foremost, to keep my family safe. The science doesn't lie — vaccines are safe and prevent so many diseases that would be catastrophic for my children or my immunocompromised father. I also vaccinate to help provide herd immunity for the people in my community who are medically unable to be vaccinated and deserve protection from the rest of us.
